Selection Process

Coca Cola required a chemical-resistant, non-slip floor that was easy to clean due to sugary spills and their forklift-bearing drain system.

AIF recommended a polished concrete, followed by a 3-coat Epoxy/ Polyurethane Glass Grip project for Coca Cola, since turnaround time was critical due to weekday product shipments and many loading docks in use at all times.

The Solution

Coca Cola agreed and liked the idea of a polished concrete with a 3-coat Epoxy and Polyurethane Glass Grip overtop to cut down on installation and curing hours and accommodate their busy and frequent loading dock shipping schedule.

We also installed stainless steel slot drains from Slot Drain Systems for a safe and functional drainage system with auto flush timers.

THE RESULTS

Applied is proud to have managed this install during the night and efficiently, so as to respect the daily shipping dock traffic that was unable to be paused for installation. This solution not only solved the high impact and traffic needs of Coca Cola’s bottling facility shipping area with a non-slip industrial surface, requiring zero downtime from regular business operations.
